“The connection I have with KO, having a head coach that’s that player-oriented, that I have a very close connection with, it’s not something that you can find at the next team,” Jefferson explained. “The whole organization, the facility, even our stadium, our fan base, everything is just high quality, top tier in this league,” Jefferson added, emphasizing the positive atmosphere surrounding the Vikings.

Jefferson, who missed seven games due to injury that season, remained confident in the direction of the team under O’Connell’s leadership.
In a bold move this summer, Jefferson signed a lucrative four-year, $140 million contract extension with the Vikings, making him the highest-paid non-quarterback in the NFL. The deal, which includes $110 million in guaranteed money, solidified Jefferson’s commitment to the team for the foreseeable future.
