In a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, retired Philadelphia Eagles offensive lineman and current ESPN NFL analyst Jason Kelce discussed his continued partnership with Kingsford Charcoal, emphasizing the importance of being prepared for grilling season whether at the big game or in the backyard.
Kelce, along with former NFL player Vince Wilfork, has garnered the title of “King of the Grill” for their mastery of slow-cooked meats. Kelce expressed his enthusiasm for working with Kingsford, stating, “It’s a brand I’ve associated with my whole life and something that really makes me think of football.”
Transitioning into his role as an analyst for Monday Night Football, Kelce is already keeping a close watch on the Eagles in the new season. He highlighted the impact of new running back Saquon Barkley on the team’s offense, noting his ability to turn potential losses into big gains.
“There are a lot of runs that traditionally you would see and there would be not much there, maybe it’s a no gain, maybe it’s a tackle for loss or all of a sudden one of them…it looked like he was close to getting tackled behind the line of scrimmage and he breaks it for a touchdown,” Kelce remarked to Sports Illustrated. “He’s just a very good player.”
With Kelce’s insights and analysis, football fans can expect a fresh perspective on the game as he settles into his new role at ESPN. Stay tuned for more updates from Kelce as the NFL season continues.
