The Jacksonville Jaguars faced a tough loss to the Buffalo Bills on Monday night, dropping to a disappointing 0-3 record for the season. Head coach Doug Pederson had to admit that the current game plan just isn’t cutting it for the struggling team.
Pederson made it clear that drastic changes need to be made in order to turn things around. “There has to be changes, whether it’s play design, personnel, everything is on the table,” Pederson stated. “Those are all things I have to look at, we have to look at as a staff, and make the adjustments.”
Despite the lackluster results, Pederson commended the effort of his players. “It’s not for a lack of effort or trying, but sometimes you have to get out of your own way,” he said. “We keep digging ourselves in a hole early and can’t seem to dig our way out of it. It’s a week-to-week deal. We’re three weeks in. We’re not very good right now.”
The pressure is on for Pederson to find a solution to the team’s struggles. If changes aren’t made soon, Jaguars owner Shad Khan may have to consider making a change at the head coaching position. The stakes are high as the Jaguars look to salvage their season and bounce back from a rough start.
