The Los Angeles Chargers are facing a tough battle on Monday Night Football, as three key players have been listed as doubtful and are unable to take the field tonight. Wide receiver Quentin Johnston, edge rusher Joey Bosa, and tight end Hayden Hurst will all be watching from the sidelines as they are among the team’s inactives.
It comes as no surprise, as none of the three players were able to practice this week. Bosa has struggled with injuries this season, only playing in three games and recording two sacks in his last appearance back in September.
In addition to the trio of doubtful players, wide receiver Derius Davis will also be missing the game due to a hamstring injury. However, the Chargers will have wide receivers Ladd McConkey and Simi Fehoko available, despite being listed as questionable leading up to the game.
The rest of the Chargers’ inactives include quarterback Easton Stick, offensive lineman Brenden Jaimes, and offensive lineman Jordan McFadden. Stick will be on standby as the emergency third quarterback for the team.
On the other side of the field, the Arizona Cardinals will have outside linebacker Kyzir White and running back Trey Benson in action, despite dealing with knee and illness concerns, respectively. Both players were listed as questionable but have been cleared to play.
The Cardinals’ inactives feature defensive back Kei’Trel Clark, tight end Travis Vokolek, wide receiver Xavier Weaver, outside linebacker Xavier Thomas, linebacker Owen Pappoe with a hip injury, and outside linebacker Victor Dimukeje.
It’s clear that injuries are impacting both teams heading into this highly anticipated Monday Night Football matchup. Stay tuned for further updates on player availability as the game progresses.
