Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill has found himself in a bit of a spat with Olympic 100-meter champion Noah Lyles. In a recent interview with Kay Adams, Hill wasted no time in shutting down Lyles’ previous comments about world championships. Lyles had criticized NBA championship teams for claiming they were world champions, questioning if they were truly champions of the world or just the United States.
Hill, not one to back down, responded to Lyles by saying, “Come on bruh, just speak on what you know about and that’s track … I would beat Noah in a race.” Could this be the start of a budding rivalry between the two superstars?
Hill is known for his speed on the football field, but his track background is not to be overlooked. He clocked a 9.98 in the 100 meters in junior college and even secured a bronze medal in the 200 meters at the World Junior Championships back in 2012. Lyles, on the other hand, is fresh off his gold medal win in the 100 meters at the 2024 Summer Olympics, despite battling COVID and also claiming bronze in the 200 meters. He is currently the biggest name in track and field.
It seems like a showdown between Hill and Lyles on the track could be an exciting prospect. As they trade verbal jabs, fans of both football and track are left wondering who would come out on top in a head-to-head race between the two speedsters. One thing is for sure, this rivalry is only just beginning to heat up.
