The Denver Broncos made a series of roster moves this week, shuffling players between the active roster and the practice squad. Inside linebacker Levelle Bailey was promoted from the practice squad to the active roster, a move announced by the team on Tuesday.
In addition to Bailey’s promotion, the Broncos also made several other transactions. Wide receiver Kaden Davis, center Dieter Eiselen, and tackle Cam Fleming were all signed to the practice squad. Meanwhile, running back Salvon Ahmed and cornerback Quinton Newsome were released from the practice squad, and guard Will Sherman was placed on practice squad/injured.
Bailey, an undrafted free agent, initially made the Broncos’ 53-player roster before being moved to the practice squad. He has seen action in the past two games, primarily on special teams.
Davis, who has spent time on the Broncos’ practice squad this season, has yet to make his regular season debut in the NFL. Eiselen, with 24 career games under his belt, played 10 games for the Texans in 2023, mostly on special teams.
Fleming, a seasoned veteran with 10 years of experience, appeared in six games for the Broncos last season, including a start in the regular-season finale. Over his career, Fleming has started 62 games and played in a total of 117 contests.
Ahmed, who recently signed with the practice squad, did not see any action in the Broncos’ recent victory over the Raiders. Newsome, an undrafted free agent signed by the Broncos after the 2024 draft, spent the first five weeks of the season on the practice squad.
Sherman, a sixth-round pick in 2021, has only appeared in one career game. Since joining the Broncos in 2022, he has yet to see regular-season action.
These roster moves reflect the Broncos’ ongoing efforts to evaluate and adjust their personnel as they strive for success on the field. Stay tuned for more updates as the season progresses.
