The New York Jets are ready to introduce their new wide receiver, Davante Adams, who was recently acquired in a trade with the Las Vegas Raiders. Adams, who has been dealing with a hamstring injury, is now healthy and expected to make his debut with the team this Sunday night against the Pittsburgh Steelers, as announced by interim coach Jeff Ulbrich.
“Adams missed three consecutive games with the Raiders, but he’s ready to go now and has been actively participating in our game prep this week,” Ulbrich said.
The addition of Adams comes at a crucial time for the struggling Jets offense. In his three games this season, Adams has already shown his talent with 18 catches for 209 yards and a touchdown. Last season, he had an impressive 103 receptions for 1,144 yards and eight touchdowns in 17 games. Despite being 31 years old, Adams remains a highly effective receiver, especially with his chemistry with former teammate Aaron Rodgers, which should aid him in picking up the Jets’ offensive system quickly.
The Jets will face off against the Steelers on Sunday night in what is sure to be an exciting matchup. With the arrival of Adams, the Jets offense is looking to turn things around and put up a strong performance against a tough Steelers defense. The stage is set for a thrilling showdown on Sunday Night Football in Pittsburgh.
