In the first five weeks of the season, the Tennessee Titans’ quarterback, Will Levis, has struggled to gain confidence from outsiders. Levis committed costly errors that led to crucial turnovers in three consecutive losses at the start of the season. To make matters worse, he sustained a right shoulder injury in Week Four against the Dolphins.
Despite returning to action in Week Six, Levis continued to struggle, throwing for only 95 yards and his seventh interception in a loss to the Colts. This performance did little to inspire hope for better days ahead. However, when asked about his confidence following the rough start, Levis remained optimistic.
In his own words, Levis stated, “High. I was disappointed how I let myself dip for that brief period of time. But I feel like I am back, and I am not going to let myself lose that again.” He emphasized the importance of maintaining confidence and mindset despite external criticism and poor statistics. Levis made it clear that he refuses to let numbers define him as a player.
While Levis may not define himself by numbers, his performance on the field is crucial in shaping his reputation as an NFL quarterback. The ongoing losses and turnovers are hindering his potential to establish himself as a long-term starter in the league. As his struggles continue, Levis must work tirelessly to overcome adversity and prove his capabilities on the field.
