The New Orleans Saints, currently on a losing streak of five games, find themselves in a challenging situation as they contemplate their next move following a disappointing start to the 2024 season. Despite their struggles, it appears that a trade involving star running back Alvin Kamara is not on the horizon.
Over the weekend, Kamara addressed speculations on social media, asserting that he has not requested a trade from the Saints. In a post, he stated, “I (ain’t) request a trade… so that’s a lie,” while also mentioning that he was en route to Knoxville, Tennessee.
Knoxville happens to be the location of a game between Tennessee and Alabama, where Kamara previously played college football for the Volunteers from 2015 to ’16. In the professional realm, Kamara has remained with the Saints for his entire eight-year career, earning five Pro Bowl selections and edging closer to becoming the franchise’s all-time leading rusher, currently trailing Mark Ingram by 233 yards.
