The Denver Broncos are facing some tough decisions as they prepare to trim down their roster in the coming days, but head coach Sean Payton has already made up his mind on one issue. Payton made it clear to reporters after the team’s preseason finale that he believes all three of the team’s quarterbacks will make the final cut.
“I feel comfortable with those three quarterbacks. I think I told you already I see the three of them making it,” Payton said, according to Mike Klis of KUSA.
The Broncos’ first-round pick, Bo Nix, has secured the starting quarterback position, beating out competition from Jarrett Stidham and Zach Wilson. However, both Stidham and Wilson have impressed enough to earn spots on the roster.
While the Broncos may have confidence in their quarterback situation, other teams around the league may not be as fortunate. This could potentially lead to trade offers for Stidham or Wilson before the roster deadline on Tuesday. As of now, though, it appears the Broncos are content to move forward with their current quarterback trio.
